Biography

Erdal Ayna is an actor and theatre director, born on October 5, 1989 in Diyarbakır, Turkey. Based in Istanbul, his artistic journey began in theatre in 2005 and later expanded into film, television and digital productions.He graduated from the Department of Sociology at Adnan Menderes University and later continued his intellectual and artistic development through studies in philosophy and psychology. This background continues to shape his approach to acting, giving him a strong interest in human behaviour, social identity, memory and emotional contradiction.Ayna built his craft first on stage, working both as an actor and director. His theatre work includes Komedi Mola, Kapılar / Derî, Sihirli Anahtar, Elif’in Maceraları and Latmos’a Rahmet Geldi. Theatre gave him a disciplined physical presence, emotional directness and a strong connection to character-driven storytelling.Across film and television, his work is rooted in transformation, dramatic tension and characters shaped by inner conflict. He has appeared in productions including Dilek Taşı, Nazdar, Sıfır850, Korkma Ben Yanımdayım, Organizasyon Bizim İşimiz, Öğrenci Evi, Savaşçı, Payitaht: Abdülhamid, Bir Deli Rüzgar and Surda Ramazan.His film credits include Gen 2, Şuursuz Aşk, Korku Takvimi, Buğday Tanesi, Elif Ana, Mavi Ring, Güven Bana, Mavi Kuş and Oy’una Geldik. In addition to his screen work, he continues to develop theatre projects and character-based performances across different languages and formats.He speaks Turkish and Kurdish fluently and also works in English.
